　■　茄子の棘はなぜああまで痛いのか？

そろそろ日差しも強くなってきてそろそろナス本番である。
（夏本番とかけてみた。クスクス）
　
　
　
茄子はヘタのところに棘がある。
これがよく指先を刺すのであるが、これが結構痛い。
考えるにこれは意表を衝かれるからだなと。
人間思いもよらぬをことに突然出会うと実際よりも大きなショックを受けるようだ。

　
　

ままある事に例えれば、夜半に目が覚めてトイレに用足しに行って腰を下ろしたら
そこに受け止めてくれるはずの便座は無く、まるで引っくり返ったヤドカリのように
なったときの気持ちとよく似ている。
　

　
　

茄子の場合はたぶんあのツルッとした外観のせいだと思う。
こんなにツルテカと、あんなトゲトゲとはイメージが結びつきにくいのである。
